If you would like to learn more about the role of the Research Director on the ISCF Future Flight Challenge, please join us at this online event, hosted by the Innovation Caucus in conjunction with the Economic and Social Research Council.
The overall aim of the ISCF Future Flight Challenge is to bring diverse stakeholders together to create an integrated aviation system that will enable the UK to build, use and export new, greener ways of flying. Using new classes of air vehicles with novel technologies the Challenge will transform how people are connected, goods are delivered and services are provided.
Economic and social research has a pivotal role to play in the Future Flight Challenge. The role of the Research Director is to work with the Future Flight Challenge Team to identify the areas where economic and social research can make a significant contribution, both to the Challenge and the wider aviation sector. Over 12 months the Research Director will:
Support the creation of a multidisciplinary community, linking stakeholders, researchers and businesses to identify and tackle challenges associated with the Challenge
Be a champion for economic and social research, both within the Challenge and to external audiences
Engage with funded activities under the Challenge, such as identifying opportunities for shared learning across projects
Join us for a presentation on the Future Flight Challenge, details on the role and application process and a panel Q&A.
Please note this Zoom webinar will be recorded and accessible via the Innovation Caucus website for the benefit of those who cannot attend.
