The project is such an important landmark in the shelter/ sheltering field. Warm congratulations to everyone in making it happen. I will read it with great interest.
It is clear there has been massive inter-agency / academic collaboration

really fascinating reports! giving much new insights and perspective. We should have much more of such research done!
Everyone else can also reflect on these questions and add their thoughts to the Jamboard too https://jamboard.google.com/d/1Nig7J3N2kbffq-Sov503LUd74of05z2aXfzLf0KgHUQ/edit?usp=sharing
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the organisations and individuals who shared their experiences and work with us during the development of this guideline. We are sure that all this experience will help people to better understand how to approach programmes to better support affected people reconstruction process.
If you haven't already done so, please download your own copy of Pathways Home! https://sheltercluster.org/recovery-community-practice/documents/pathways-home-guidance-supporting-shelter-self-recovery
Long... but a jolly good read!
Done, Sue! BTW will there be a hard copy?
Printing tbc... funds are low!
After this section, there will be opportunity for questions/comments 'from the floor'... Please be ready and/or post comments and links on the Jamboard too please
No worries, sorry to be old-fashioned - just like to hold a hard copy!
fully support the ask for hard copies :)
There are some ideas in Pathways on 'innovative MEAL'...but an interesting area which needs more thought and expertise
I have to leave now, but well done all!
Pablo Medina (GSC - IFRC)
In addition to printing, we need funds for translation: Spanish, French, Arabic
indeed! translation is a must!
the second edition coould focus more on the post-conflict self-recovery more in detail….with Russian and or Ukrainian translation...
Thank you! That was UTTERLY FASCINATING!
Thank you to everyone involved, really interesting session.
Thank you so much all, for the presentations and the guidance on the important subject!!!!
I add my big thanks for the work and presentation! It has been very interesting information and conversations
For translation, there are websites that can translate the entire document keeping the format (.doc), which would require further review, but would reduce significantly the amount of work (and maybe we could all support with that).I have used them for different languages and was surprised with the language accuracy.
Hi Ifte, that was a 'product' approach with zero community consultation
Indeed, Robbie. Not uncommon elsewhere I am sure from your experience.
Miriam is from NRC
Edition 2 will have to get started!
Robbie here's a 'product' govt project recently built in Bangladesh: https://www.thedailystar.net/news/bangladesh/news/no-one-be-homeless-bangladesh-3013171
